Pura Vida Grill was born from a dream: to create a place where Costa Ricans living in Orlando could reconnect with the flavors, traditions, and warmth of their homeland. Orlando is home to a large community of ticos, and we understood that when we're far from our country, we look for spaces that make us feel at home.
Our first steps began on Saturday, December 2, 2023, when we opened our doors for the first time. During that first month, we shared our passion for Costa Rican cuisine with the community and confirmed there was a real need for a corner of Costa Rica in Orlando.
With a clear vision of what we wanted to build, we made the decision to temporarily close in January and February 2024 to completely renovate the restaurant. On March 1, 2024, we reopened with a fully transformed space — the Pura Vida Grill our customers know today.
Since then, Pura Vida Grill has become much more than a restaurant. We are a gathering place for the Costa Rican community — a place where our customs, culture, and pride in our roots are celebrated. Every dish we serve carries the authentic flavor of Costa Rica and the desire to share a little piece of our homeland with every person who visits us.
